Abstract

ABSTRACT

This research is entitled The Analysis of Poverty Determinants in South Sumatra Province 2015-2020. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Total Population and Human Development Index (HDI) on poverty levels in South Sumatra Province.The method used in this research is panel data regression method. Panel data is data that combines time series and cross section data and data sources in this study were obtained from BPS from 2015-2020 and 17 regencies/cities in South Sumatra, then the data processing methods and analysis using the Eviews 11 program.The results of this research is obtained the random influence model as the best model. This research model shows that the variables of GRDP (X1), Total Population (X2) and HDI (X3) have a significant influence both simultaneously and partially on the poverty level in South Sumatra, the adjusted coefficient of determination shows that the contribution of the variables of GRDP, Population and HDI is equal to 65.54% while 34.46% is influenced by other variables not included in this research.
