Abstract
This research is entitled Identification of Leading Food Crops Commodities and Development of Regional Growth Centers in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency which aims to identify and analyze the classification of commodities that have comparative advantages and competitive advantages in each District and Identification of regional growth centers in each sub-district in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency.
The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of food crop commodity production in 2011-2020 which was collected from the BPS of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency and the Office of Food Crops and Horticulture of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The data analysis methods used in this research are
Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and Shift Share analysis and scalogram analysis of 13 sub-districts in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency.
From the results of Location Quotien and Shift Share analysis, it can be concluded that food crop commodities that can be developed in each sub-district are superior and potential commodities, namely food crop commodities that have
competitive and comparative advantages. From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that food crop commodities that can be developed in each village in the Ogan Komering Ulu District, namely, Lengkiti District has
the potential for the development of paddy rice, corn, Sosoh Buay Termite District has the potential for the development of upland rice, corn, Ulu Ogan District has the potential for the development of lowland rice, Sinar Peninjauan District has the potential for the development of lowland rice, Lubuk Batang District has the potential for the development of upland rice, peanuts, cassava, sweet potatoes, Lubuk Raja District has the potential for the development of cassava, East Baturaja District has the potential for maize development and Kedaton Penijauan Raya has the potential to develop lowland rice. Meanwhile, from the calculation
results of the scalogram analysis, it can be concluded that the sub-districts that have the best infrastructure completeness are: East Baturaja District with a calculated value of 441.188, Lubuk Raja District with a calculated value of 191.188, and Sinar Peninjauan District with a calculated value of 156.902. While the sub-district with the least infrastructure is Muara Jaya District with a calculation value of 7.692.
The results of this study indicate that based on the analysis of Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share and Scalograms that the development plan to become a center for production and processing of food crop commodities is in 3 sub-districts, namely East Baturaja District, Lubuk Raja District and Sinar
Peninjauan District. For the East Baturaja Sub-district, the direction of development is to become a production and processing center for corn, cassava and sweet potato commodities. For Lubuk Raja District, the direction of
development is to become a production and processing center for corn, peanut, mung bean, cassava and sweet potato commodities. Meanwhile, the Sinar Peninjauan Subdistrict has a development direction to become a production and processing center for lowland rice and cassava commodities.
