AN ANALYSIS STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN USING PART OF SPEECH OF SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF MTS N 1 OKU

The purpose of this research was find out the students ability in using part of speech. The writer just identifyed four of part of speech such as adjective, pronoun, preposition and verb. This research was conducted on MTS N 1 OKU. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of MTS N 1 OKU in academic year 2021/2022 that consisted 85 students. The sample was taken by using random sampling. The technique for collecting data was multiple choice test. In analyzing the data the writer used descriptive quantitative method. The percentage group which get by the students, as follow : there were 35 students (41.17%) who gained score 80-100 in very good level, 19 students (22.35%) who gained score 66-79 in good level, 21 students (24.70%) who gained score 55-65 in level fair, 10 student (11,76%) who gained score 46-54 in level poor. The average percentage of the students’ correct answer in using part of speech of the seventh grade students of MTS Negeri 1 Ogan Komering Ulu was 73,21%. It meant the seventh grade students of MTS Negeri 1 Ogan Komering Ulu was in good level(Nurgiyantoro, 2012).
