THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING POWTOON AS DIGITAL MEDIA IN WRITING AT SMPN 23 OKU

This study analyses The Effectiveness of Using Powtoon as Digital Media in Writing at SMPN 23 OKU. This study used the experimental method. The objective of the research was to find out whether or not significantly effective using powtoon as the digital media in writing descriptive text of SMPN 23 OKU. The population of the research was 169 students of eight grade of SMP N 23 OKU. The researcher took 33 students as a sample by applying purposive sampling technique. The data was collected through test. The results were analyzed by using paired sampel t-test showed the value of mean (18,179), standard deviation (16,256), the lower score of 95% confidence interval of the difference (23,943) while the value of t (6,424) degrees of freedom (32) with no significant 2-tailed. Meanwhile, the Value of ttabel (2,037) got from table t in statistical rule according to the degree of freedoom 32 and level significant 0,025 that have been set. From the results of the data, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because tobtained (6,424) was higher than ttable (2,037) for df 36 with the level significant 0,025. Thus, it can be concluded that there was a significant effectiveness of using powtoon as the digital media in writing.
