Abstract
The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the ability of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 15 OKU to read pantun. (2) to describe the difficulties of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 15 OKU in reading pantun. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. The data collection techniques used are tests and questionnaire techniques. The results of the test analysis showed that 18 students who scored 80-100 with a very good category were 3 people or (16.6%), students who scored 67-78 were classified as good 12 people or (66.67%), and students who scored 55-65 were classified as sufficient 3 people (16.6%). The overall score of students was 1322 with an average of 73.44. Thus, the students'ability to read pantun was classified as capable and had reached the KKM. Based on the questionnaire analysis obtained from 3 sample students, it can be concluded that grade V students of SD Negeri 15 OKU are able to read pantun.
