ANALISIS ALIH KODE DAN CAMPUR KODE DALAM PODCAST MOM’S CORNER EPISODE 7 DOKTER MESTY ARIOTEDJO DAN RELEVANSINYA TERHADAP MATA KULIAH SOSIOLINGUISTIK

This research aims to describe the forms of code-switching and code-mixing in Mom's Corner podcast episode 7 with Dr. Mesty Ariotedjo, titled "Does Using Two Languages Cause Speech Delay in Children?", to describe the contributing factors, and its relevance to the sociolinguistics course. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative. The data for this study consists of utterances containing
code-switching and code-mixing. Data collection techniques used were listening, note-taking, and observation. Data analysis techniques applied were descriptive qualitative and systematic flow analysis. The findings of this study reveal the presence of code-switching and code-mixing forms, as well as their underlying causes. The code-switching identified is external code-switching, which involves a shift from Indonesian to English. The factors causing this include the speaker and the listener. The code-mixing found is outer code-mixing, a blend of Indonesian and English. The factors contributing to this are more popular terms, interlocutors,
topic, function, and purpose. The results of this study can be used in sociolinguistics learning, especially for material discussing code-switching and code-mixing.
